RSG Capital successfully exits its investment in BIA Separations
In December, RSG Capital has successfully completed a trade sale of its investment in BIA Separations, the leading specialist in liquid separation biochromatography
BIA Separations produces laboratory and industrial proprietary short monolithic chromatographic columns primarily used for purification of large biomolecules by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the globe. The company was founded in 1998; RSG Capital joined as investor in late 2007. This was the first equity investment of RSG Capital, and the only in the area of biotechnology. After four years, RSG Capital has successfully exited the company that currently employs 75 people and has recently raised funds from Japanese and German investors, in a sale to the company's strategic partner.
